Many believe that because the withdrawal symptoms are not as strong as alcohol or heroin it is not addictive


YES, it is addictive.

About 1 in 11 people who use marijuana will become addicted. Of those who started in their teens 1 in 6 will become addicted. 

According to SAMHSA, more than 360,000 people were admitted to treatment with marijuana being their primary drug in 2010.

103,000 of those individuals were between the ages of 12 to 17

Addiction doesn't just happen to specific types of people, it can happen to anyone from any walk of life
