Ten ways your community can create a positive alcohol environment

1. Limit the number of places that serve and sell alcohol.
2. Reduce local youth exposure to alcohol advertising.
3. Reduce youth access to alcohol.
4. Support alcohol age compliance checks to increase compliance.
5. Require responsible alcohol serving practices for festivals & events.
6. Advise seniors & their families about dangerous alcohol-drug interactions that can increase falls.
7. Compile Place of Last Drink data to detect patterns of over-serving.
8. Raise awareness of the consequences of underage and childhood alcohol use.
9. Limit alcohol use in public parks to specific areas, parks or shelters.
